To celebrate our fifth year anniversary, we’ve joined forces with Tutti, a branding and communication studio and Nexus Connect, our new sponsor to drop a fresh new look.
‘A New Chapter’ celebrates our first ever sponsorship deal, as we continue to champion the inclusion of disabled people in football and society.
The sponsorship and new kit feels like a breakthrough moment for Southwark Stars and disability football, with our Founder Louis Wickett-Padgham commenting:
“People with learning disabilities are underrepresented and disability football is often overlooked and forgotten.
Since officially affiliating as a football club in 2019, we’ve wanted our players to be seen and heard. Our exciting new kit launch aims to do just that. We’re super pleased with the outcome and thankful for the support from those involved, including our new sponsor.”
We were put in touch with Nexus Connect by Sportingley, an organisation who support disability and emergency service football clubs find sponsors.
We’re not stopping there. Acting as the pioneers that we are, we’ve dropped an editorial kit launch that wouldn’t look out of place in Vogue.
Alin Kovacs, Founder of Tutti, helped guide Southwark Stars through the kit launch production process, commented:
“Southwark Stars and their players deserve to belong. We wanted to use the power of football and fashion to shape a positive perspective on their community. Also, professional football club’s kit launches have become more fashion conscious, both street style and premium, and we feel that we’ve captured a perfect balance between the two.”
As for the kit, it represents everything that Southwark Stars have become known for. Boldness in orange, waves symbolising their dynamism and their star badge, most importantly representing their players.
We’re leading the way for grassroots disability football and looking good whilst doing so!
