London Empowered

Empowered means ‘to give someone the power to do something’. That will always be our club’s mission. Southwark Stars provides a home in the heart of London for over 70 men and women with a learning disability to feel valued, heard and empowered but we’re not finished yet.

Ahead of our new season, we’ve launched a new video to celebrate our achievements and inspire more disabled Londoners to play football. Often ignored and forgotten, we want to amplify our players’ voices to empower London.

The video comes shortly after we featured on a Canary Wharf billboard – an opportunity made possible by Clear Channel

A billboard of a woman smiling, with sky scrappers behind it.

A special thanks to Alin Kovacs (producer & director) from Tutti, Stuart Harper Photographer (videographer), Sian Maksousa (editor) and Kim Wickett (script writter) for their passion, expertise and generosity.

Tutti is a branding studio, that helps companies and not-for-profits inspire people through the power of their own voice.

Share and inspire.

Please help us reach and inspire more Londoners by sharing our new video across your social media, newsletters and website.

Sponsor us and make a difference.
We are a grassroots football club who rely on our volunteers generosity. Since 2017, we have provided weekly training sessions and regular matches helping our players create lifelong friendships and improve our players mental and physical health.
